Day 19: Cloak

He cloaks himself in female flesh to hide the way he comes
As every king and beggar, as your daughters and your sons
In water and in spirit, and in flesh and blood and bone
But no one sees him coming since he comes to her alone

He cloaks himself in beard and dust to hide from faithless Jews
As son of man he works and teaches all the new good news
He tells them of a kingdom come and cross where he would go
But until he breaks the bread just his mother will know

He cloaks himself in fire and cloud to hide glory divine
Those that see his countenance desire to make a shrine
But the place to be prepared he's readying for us
And we will see behind the veil and ever know him thus
