Day 26: Rhythm



There is a something missing
We can no longer hear the tick of our watches
The clocks in the hall, the heart in our chests
The beat that makes us not late

We still tend to have a tic
It's a nervous one that reminds us regularly
That everyone else is living their own lives
To the beat of their own drum

But the sky wheels keep turning
Through ordinary and extraordinary time
In with a shout and out with the tolling bell
The pulse of eternity between
